The rooms are large and fairly quiet with comfy bed, a shared bathroom and the staff are amicable! Its decor is beautiful.

Its location was marvellous and beautiful, to various metro lines out of which an express line to Manhattan. All in all we enjoyed quiet and absolutely gorgeous room with a shared bathroom and a very comfortable bed, as for instance. The hotel staff was amiable, not annoying😃👍

I recently stayed at The Harlem Flophouse for a few nights and it was an incredible experience. As a musician and art lover, I was in awe of the beautiful and historic visual appeal of the hotel. The room was spacious and clean, with a very comfortable bed. The lack of air conditioners, phones, and TVs added to the eclectic charm of the place. The neighborhood was vibrant and alive, and the jazz music playing in the background upon arrival set the perfect mood. it was like a dream come true to stay at this unique, old-fashioned gem in the heart of Harlem.

I highly recommend this hotel.

The location is very convenient, with good cafes nearby for breakfast, and you can visit Chocolat Restaurant & Bar for drinks within just a 5-minute walk from here.

The location in this magical neighborhood was perfect, with easy access to two subway stops in Manhattan and within walking distance to several attractions. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, providing great recommendations for local cafes and making my stay special.

The hotel has a fantastic location downtown, it's only 20-30 minutes away and we really enjoyed it.

The location was quiet at night, allowing for a peaceful stay. The subway station was just a 5-minute walk, making it convenient to explore the city.

The bed was on the soft side, which may not be to everyone's preference. The lack of TV and air conditioning might be a downside for some, but the good wifi made up for it.

For the price we paid, the Harlem Flophouse was definitely worth it. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff treated us with utmost kindness and helpfulness throughout our stay. The location was excellent, with the subway just a few minutes away and plenty of good food options nearby.

The breakfast selection could have been better, but there are great coffee and pastry shops in the neighborhood that made up for it.

My friend and I stayed at a charming hotel in a vibrant neighborhood. The check-in process was easy, and we appreciated the unique touch of sticky notes on the front door indicating our room assignments. Our room, the Chester Himes, was spacious, quiet, and clean. The bed was comfortable, and we had enough blankets to stay warm. We also loved the heated floor in the bathroom. The location of the hotel was very convenient, with easy access to the 125th Street Subway and buses. We felt safe walking around the neighborhood, even late at night. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was cozy and inviting.

Despite the positives, there were a few downsides to our stay. The cleanliness of the hotel was not up to par, as we discovered upon seeing the photos.
